Ukrainian American Committee Launches New Campaign Urging Congress to Support Pro-Ukraine NDAA Provisions
The Ukrainian American Committee has launched a new nationwide advocacy campaign calling on Americans to contact their Members of Congress in support of the pro-Ukraine provisions included in the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The campaign empowers advocates across the country to send messages directly to Congress urging them to preserve and fully implement these urgently needed measures.
The NDAA contains some of the strongest legislative protections for Ukraine advanced this year. At a time when the administration’s new National Security Strategy signals a retreat from long-standing commitments to Europe and a softer posture toward Russia, Congress has taken bipartisan action to maintain U.S. support for Ukraine’s defense and sovereignty.
What the Campaign Supports
The new advocacy tool highlights the importance of key NDAA provisions, including:
Maintaining U.S. policy against recognizing Russian control of occupied Ukrainian territory
Authorizing $400 million for the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) through 2029
Ensuring weapons and aid intended for Ukraine cannot be diverted or seized without replacement
Protecting intelligence sharing between the United States and Ukraine
Strengthening oversight of U.S. arms transfers to prevent delays and ensure transparency
Supporting efforts to return abducted Ukrainian children taken by Russia
“These provisions not only support Ukraine’s fight for freedom, but they also reinforce U.S. national security,” the Committee said. “A stable, sovereign Ukraine deters Russian aggression, protects European stability, and upholds the international principles America has championed for decades.”

Through CongressPlus, the Committee’s campaign enables supporters to send emails, tweets, and phone messages directly to their members of Congress with just a few clicks. Advocates can also easily share the campaign with friends, post on social media, and help amplify the message nationwide.
“Americans overwhelmingly support helping Ukraine defend itself. This campaign makes it easy for every citizen to make their voice heard in Washington,” the organization noted.
