American Ukraine Committee – Internship Opportunity

The American Ukraine Committee is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening U.S.–Ukraine relations, advancing pro-Ukraine policy, and supporting American leaders who champion Ukraine’s sovereignty and democracy. We are seeking highly motivated Interns to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in policy, communications, political analysis, digital marketing, and donor engagement.

  • Position: Intern

  • Location: Remote (with occasional in-person events as available)

  • Commitment: Flexible, minimum 10–15 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

1. Content, Audience Development & Digital Marketing

  • Research and draft policy papers, blog posts, and media critiques on Ukraine-related topics.

  • Create and manage content for email newsletters, social media platforms (Twitter/X and others), and online campaigns.

  • Support digital marketing initiatives to expand the Committee’s reach and influence, including analytics tracking and optimization.

  • Assist in planning and running small-scale e-commerce efforts (e.g., branded merchandise, online membership sign-ups, and donation platforms).

2. Policy Analysis & Candidate Evaluation

  • Contribute to our internal rating of Members of Congress based on their positions and voting records on Ukraine.

  • Assist in the research and development of candidate profiles to help the Committee identify leaders to support. (See: AmUkrPAC Candidates)

3. Donor, Membership & E-Commerce Development

  • Identify and research potential donors and supporters.

  • Assist with outreach and communications to existing and prospective donors.

  • Help design and implement strategies to grow the Committee’s membership base.

  • Coordinate e-commerce offerings (branded merchandise, donation pages, and member benefits) and help promote them through digital channels.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills. Interest in U.S. policy, Ukraine, political affairs, and digital communications.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and basic e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Squarespace, etc.) preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Previous experience in research, communications, marketing, or fundraising is a plus but not required.
