Through Her Eyes is a bilingual documentary photo album featuring the work of six Ukrainian women photographers documenting the war in Ukraine.
All contributors were civilians before Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. Since then, each has served within Ukraine’s defense effort — including military service, frontline medicine, journalism, and volunteer operations — while continuing to document the realities of war through photography.
Combining documentary, portrait, and artistic photography, the album presents a firsthand visual record of contemporary Ukraine and the evolving role of women during wartime.
