2 new Ukraine-related bills were introduced during the week of April 20–26, 2026: S. 4379 and H.R. 8433, collectively titled the Countering Russia’s War on Faith Act.

These companion bills aim to address violations of religious freedom by the Russian Federation in Ukraine by requiring a joint report from the Departments of State and Defense and mandating sanctions against individuals responsible for such actions.
