We Are Here — and Ukraine’s Voice Must Be Heard in Congress

“We are here — and we will defend Ukrainian sovereignty.”
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, February 25, 2022

When President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered these words from Kyiv in February 2022, he sent a message not only to the Ukrainian people, but to the world: Ukraine would not disappear, and neither would its fight for freedom.

That same principle must guide Ukraine’s supporters in the United States today.

As the war continues, Ukraine’s security, sovereignty, and democratic future remain inseparable from U.S. leadership. Yet on Capitol Hill, voices calling for retreat, false compromises, and disengagement are growing louder. If Ukraine’s supporters are not visible, informed, and organized, those voices will define the debate.

Presence in Congress Matters

The American Ukraine Committee exists to ensure that Ukraine’s supporters are here—present in Congress, engaged with policymakers, and actively advancing a strong American–Ukraine relationship at a moment when it matters most.

Advocacy does not happen automatically. It requires organization, coordination, and sustained engagement. Meetings must be arranged. Policy materials prepared. Communication tools maintained. Without these capabilities, even strong public support risks fading into political inaction.

None of this work is possible without sufficient funding.

A Priority for 2026

Our first priority for 2026 is supporting the American–Ukrainian Christian Alliance as they prepare for Ukraine Advocacy Week and a strong, unified presence at the International Religious Freedom Summit in Washington this February.

These events are critical opportunities to ensure that Ukraine’s moral, humanitarian, and religious freedom case is clearly and credibly represented before U.S. leaders. They allow Ukraine’s supporters to engage directly with members of Congress and their staff at a time when policy decisions are actively being shaped.

To make this possible, our goal is to raise $50,000 to support the American–Ukrainian Christian Alliance Advocacy Week—ensuring that their voice, and Ukraine’s voice, is heard in Washington.

Turning Commitment Into Impact

Support turns commitment into presence.
Presence turns into influence.
Influence shapes outcomes.

At a time when political attention is divided and resolve cannot be taken for granted, remaining engaged is essential.

Together, we can ensure that Ukraine’s supporters are here—and that Congress listens.
